Weekend of the 4th

Mike and I had an awesome weekend! We started out with breakfast Friday morning with some friends of ours, Scott and Kelli Moulton. Scott made some delicious crepes filled with chocolate and fresh fruit (yummy!) and then we hung out for a while. After breakfast Mike and I went to my parents house in Blackfoot and had a BBQ with the fam. After the BBQ, the men did what they think the fourth of July is all about, blowing things up. After scavenging for rotten fruit, and being scolded by the wifes, they settled on fire crackers and a can. They would light it and have the can shoot up in the air, I must admit, it was pretty cool. After the fun of fire crackers, we started the real fireworks. Everyone went over to Erin and Chris's and watched the fire works that they bought, it was great fun. After all the goods were done, Mike and I headed into Jensen's Grove and watched the fireworks finish there. We then got on the interstate and heading home to Pocatello and were able to see a lot of fireworks from the interstate. We were just getting to Pocatello when they had their firework finale, and we were able to see it from the interstate. The kids had tons of fun with the sparklers. Here are a few pictures of the great 4th of July festivities.

Great spending the day with family?? Then why did your hubby whine that he was tired of being with us the whole time? Wow, that niece of yours is adorable! She must have really gorgeous parents!
